There is a major controversy brewing in Santa Fe. The current law on the books says that if your house or apartment is in a residential neighborhood you can not rent it for less than 30 days. Several hundred people are ignoring that law and renting out their houses, in residential neighborhoods, as vacation rentals. As someone who has faithfully obeyed the law I would ask that you consider this when you make your Vacation Rental choice. You might also consider the fact that if you make a reservation and the City of Santa Fe decides to actively enforce the Law you might lose your reservation and possibly your deposit. Is that "dirty pool", I do not know, but I think knowingly breaking the law and competing with people who obey the law is "dirty pool" too.
